Throughout my life, art in one form or other has played a big part. Maybe inherited from a creative mother and aunts and now passed on to my daughter and granddaughters.
From childhood through to evening classes art has always been there.
(every child is an artist, the problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up...Pablo Picasso}
A few years whilst living in South Africa I found time to learn ceramics and practise chinese painting.
Finally years later in England, while still working in ceramics, I eventually decide to do a degree in art. Achieving my ambition, and at last following my heart, even if it takes a lifetime.
My work always starts with observation, photos and sketches, and subconsciously implanted images in my memory. Recreating from these in paint or glass, one process inspiring the other.
Achieving and completed pieces that I have enjoyed creating is my rewards, no matter how long it takes, it is worth it.
